Card Used
The original card shown was a YL Industrial 8GB microSDHC card labelled Class 10, U1 and UHS-I. It was replaced with a Patriot EP 256GB microSDXC card, model PEF256GEP31MCX. Another E07 owner had reported the card working, but the scope of that earlier test is not documented here. In the installation shown in this guide, the owner formatted the Patriot card in the car and checked its displayed capacity only; new recording and playback were not checked.

After the owner installed and formatted the Patriot EP 256GB card, the car displayed 42.81MB used out of 232.94GB. Before replacement, it showed 4.00GB used out of 7.38GB. These photos establish capacity recognition in this installation, not successful dashcam or Sentinel recording, playback or endurance.

Find the Slot
The owner located the slot beneath the cupholders, on the inner right wall of the lower centre-console storage area. Look for the microSD symbol beside the slot.

Change the Card
The photos identify the slot, but do not document the release mechanism or a safe removal sequence. If you are unsure how to remove the card, check with DEEPAL support before doing so. Keep the original card and do not force the slot.
Format in the Car
Back up any footage you want to keep first; formatting erases the card’s files. The manual says recordings can be viewed and deleted in Album and transferred to a USB flash drive.
E07 Owner’s Manual — p. 137 (PDF p. 148).
Protect Existing Clips and Open TF Card
Before formatting, copy any clips you want to keep to a USB flash drive using Album and check the copies. Formatting erases the card’s files. Then open vehicle settings, select System and find the TF Card row.
Select Format
Read the current on-screen confirmation before you proceed. Do not remove the card while formatting is in progress.
Check the Displayed Capacity
Wait for formatting to finish, then check the TF Card row. This owner’s car displayed Total 232.94GB; that confirms recognised capacity only. Check a new recording and its playback separately.
The adjacent “i” button opens card information. It is separate from the Format control. The popup described the storage purpose as: “External storage card for dashcam and sentinel mode video storage.”

Check Recording
Recording and playback were not tested after this owner’s upgrade. To check your own installation, turn Driving Recorder on if it is off, make a new clip and play it back. The manual says recording is off by default and warns a storage exception can leave Sentry Mode on while video is not saved. Check storage status and playback before relying on the card; a capacity figure or an enabled mode alone is insufficient.

Card Details and Limits
The replacement card was labelled Patriot EP 256GB microSDXC, A1, V30, Class 10 and U3. The Australian owner’s manual does not specify a supported card type, maximum capacity, filesystem or replacement procedure. The documented Patriot installation confirms formatting and capacity recognition only. Neither this installation nor the earlier owner report establishes an official maximum capacity, guaranteed compatibility or long-term endurance. The reviewed sources do not establish whether a 128GB or 512GB card will work; they also do not establish that those capacities will fail.
Images were cleaned up for clarity. Menu text and capacity figures were checked against the original photos; appearance is illustrative.
